Mrs. Whilhelmina, aged 87 years, wife of Simon Winter, died at the home of her son, Ernest Winter, four miles East of Canby, Minnesota, on Sat., Jan. 29. Pneumonia is said to be the immediate cause. The deceased was born in Germany on Nov., 11, 1828. She was the mother of eight children, of whom six are living. Those in this vicinity are the sons, Fred, August and Ernest. Her husband was a Civil War Veteran. He died in 1881 in IA. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Bents, were held at the German Lutheran Church in this city on Feb. 4th, and burial was in the Canby cemetery.
