From Danbury Review - 1955 Fire of undetermined origin ruined the interior of the newly decorated and modernized Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dimig home. Mrs. Dimig was awakened by the smell of smoke and aroused her husband who was suffocated and dazed. The Dimig’s sons, Bob, Mark and Mike, who were sleeping upstairs, assisted Henry to the car where they waited for the fire truck. At the time the electricity was off and the flashlight couldn’t be located. It was indeed a narrow escape from death for the family who was forced to crawl from their home to safety.
