It is said that the firing of the old cannon in those days threw the gun crew back 10 to 15 feet on to a padded wall.
The late Mr. Paddison is serviced by a widow and three daughters - Hilda of Rylstone, May of Sydney, and Effie (Mrs. A. Lever) of Sydney. Brothers are Messrs. A.B. Paddison, Perthville, C.H.
