MRS. FRED DIETZ OCTOBER 28, 1910

The death of Mrs. Fred Dietz, sister of Vincent Endres, of Charlotte township, and for many years a resident of this vicinity, occurred at her home four miles north of Clinton, Mo., on Tuesday (Oct. 25) morning, October 28. She had been a sufferer with dropsey for over twelve years and since last February had been compelled to sit in a chair, the nature of the disease being such that she was unable to lie down. About three weeks previous to her death she was taken worse and death came as a release from earthly pain. Kate Endres was born in Bavaria, Germany, November 26, 1868. At the age of five years she came to America with her parents and they settled near this village. On February 23, 1889 she was united in marriage with Fred Dietz. Ten years later they moved to Missouri, where they had since made their home. Mr. and Mrs. Dietz’ only son, Otto, has been a helpless invalid for five years with rheumatism, and to him her death will be a heavy blow. The bereaved husband and eighteen year old daughter, Vrony, will endeavor to fill the mother’s place. Mrs. Dietz is also survived by one sister, Mrs. James Cono, of Spring Hill, Kansas, who was at her bedside at the end, and two brothers, Julius Endres, of Palisade, Neb., and Vincent Endres, who resides north of Chatsworth. The funeral services were held at the Catholic church at Clinton, Mo., on Thursday, conducted by Rev. Fitzgerald, and the remains were interred at Englewood cemetery, near the city. Vincent Endres and Otto Greunig went from here to attend the funeral.
