Notes
Julian was born in Roden, Germany. He was the third of five children born to Michael and Maria K. Endres. The family left from the port of Hamburg Germany in 1874 and went to Livingston County, IL.
Julian married Anna Matilda Reinfort Jan. 18, 1887 at Chatsworth, IL. They had four children: Nellie May b. 1891; Walter J b. 1893; Charles Henry b. 1895; John Julian (John born Sept. 25, 1904, died March 9, 1987 in Atlanta, Georgia. Unsure which cemetery. On June 22, 1927 he married Alice Kane.)
On the advice of his future father-in-law Julian came to Nebraska about 1885 and took out a homestead and timber claim to start his first cattle ranch. He returned to Chatsworth, IL in 1887 to marry Anna and they left by train for Nebraska soon after. Nellie, Walter and Charles were born on the ranch. In 1897 they sold the ranch and purchased land about one and a half miles east of Palisade, NE in Hitchcock County. John was born here in 1904.
In May 1916 Julian and Anna purchased a home in McCook, NE where they retired, leaving the ranch to their sons Walter and Charles.
