1895 Iowa Census. Note that Peter was born in Dubuque County,Iowa and there is an older son, “Mathies” also born in DubuqueCounty. You could perhaps find a marriage record on Peter andGertrude in Dubuque County. The younger children were born inIda County, Iowa

By 1910 they are living near Danbury, Iowa. Note that there arenow 7 of 11 children living. The older children are now out of the household, although Nicholas is still there at age 28.
