Funeral services for Lloyd Siebrecht were held Tuesday, April 5th, 2:00 p.m., at the United Methodist Church in Odebolt. Lloyd John Siebrecht, age 82, of Odebolt, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2005, at the Odebolt Nursing and Rehab Center.

Funeral services for Lloyd Siebrecht will be held Tuesday, April 5th, 2:00 p.m., at the United Methodist Church in Odebolt with Rev. Kathy Spracklin officiating. Burial will be at the Odebolt Cemetery under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home with military graveside rites by the American Legion Post No. 313 of Odebolt.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 pm on Monday with family present from 6:00-8:00 at the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home in Odebolt.

Lloyd John Siebrecht, age 82, of Odebolt, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2005, at the Odebolt Nursing and Rehab Center.

Lloyd was born February 2, 1923, to John and Anna (Kessler) Siebrecht. He attended country school through the eighth grade. He then farmed with his dad. He served in the Army from 1946-1947.

On January 21, 1951, Lloyd was married to Lois Bentsen in Sac City. To this union, five children were born: LaDon, Loren, Lester, Linda, and Lisa. They farmed north of Odebolt until 1980 when they moved to town. He continued to be involved in the farming operation for many years.

Lloyd will be remembered for his love of family. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and their activities. He also enjoyed farming, fishing, and traveling. He belonged to the United Methodist Church, Wheeler Masonic Lodge, and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife Lois; his children: LaDon and his wife Linda of Odebolt and their sons, Jeff, Mike, and Kyle; Loren and his wife Anita of Carroll, and their daughters, Jenny and Jodi; Lester and his wife Linda of Odebolt and children, Jon and his wife Sarah, and Vicki; Linda Kemper of Nebraska City, NE, and daughter Lena; and Lisa and her husband Leroy Bartels and their son, Connor of Tecumseh, NE. Other survivors include a brother Kermit and his wife Jean; half brother Robert and his wife Mary Louise; sister-in-law Irene Siebrecht all of Odebolt; sister Shirley and her husband Lloyd Rickers of Kiron; half sister Joan and her husband Dick Grosnickel of Mesa, AZ, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step mother Hilma (Olson) Siebrecht; brother Merle; and infant half sister Roberta.
