Tom came from Toritto, Italy. He boarded the Konigin Louise, a ship leaving the port of Naples, Campania, Italy. He arrived at Ellis Island on 10 Dec. 1908 at the age of 17. Once in America, he became known as Thomas. He was drafted in the US Army and send to France in 1917. After his term in the Army, he became a coal dealer working 7 days a week for a dollar a day.
