 Oct. 1905 Friday 27 Oct. 1905 Horstman, Fred to Calif. to visit brother William Not seen for 30 years.   07 July 1909 Fred Horstman died Saturday at house of son Herman, funeral yesterday. Fred buried Tuesday at Toronto.

Moved to Lowden, Cedar Co. in 1866. Then to Wheatland, Cedar Co. in 1891. Frederick and family lived in section 22, Liberty township, Clinton Co. IA. Fred came to America in the spring of 1858 and lived in Scott Co. IA. 1866 to Cedar Co. and 1876 to Clinton Co. The following is per the 1886 Clinton Co. History Book - Frederick owns 216 acres of land. 50 cattle, 8 horses and 30 hogs. He is a member of the Democratic Party.
