Elizabeth Endres was born in Roden, Germany, the oldest child of Michael and Maria Katherine Endres. The family came to the US in 1874 by way of the port at Hamburg, Germany. Elizabeth never married. She died the same year as her mother.
The following is from the “Chatsworth Plaindealer” newspaper. OBITUARY - MISS ELIZABETH ENDRES The death of Miss Elizabeth Endres occurred at the home of her brother, Vincent Endres and family, in Charlotte township, on Wednesday afternoon at about three o’clock. For years, the deceased had been an invalid and, as a consequence, her acquaintance was not large.
The funeral was held this (Friday) morning at SS Peter and Paul’s church, Rev. J.J. Quinn officiating, and the remains laid to rest beside those of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Endres, in St. Patrick’s cemetery.
Per Maggie Endres, the cemetery sexton took a map and went to the grave site. The grave is unmarked.
