Charles served in the German Army for 3 years. Charles immigrated to the US in 1889.
In 1906, Charles bought a farm in Indiana. It took Charles 4 years to sell their farm in Illinois. Charles and Anna sold the Illinois farm in the summer of 1910 and moved to Indiana in the winter of 1911.
