Mary L. Hays, 96, Pekin, a Livingston County native and formerly of Creve Coeur, died at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 1, 2014) at Pekin Manor.
She was born Sept. 18, 1917 in Livingston County to Charles Vincent and Mary Cordelia Endres Endres. She married Beauford E. Hays on Dec. 2, 1939, in Chatsworth. He died Oct. 3, 1990 in Peoria. She also was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robert L. Hays, on Feb. 11, 2010; four brothers and one sister.
Surviving are five sons, Donald E. (Martha) Hays, Raymond B. Hays, Richard A. Hays, Charles (Cheryl) Hays and Michael D. (Bonnie) Hays; two daughters, Sheila K. Hays and Elizabeth S. (Joe) Tucker; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and two sisters, Florence Davis and Loretta Bode.
