I haven’t done any research on the Kirkpatricks for several years. I’ll have to dig back and see if I have anything to tell you. I know that with the help of the census records through Ancestry.com that I was able to trace the James C. Kirkpatrick family a few more decades. I don’t think that I ever did determine their final location. James C. Kirkpatrick was the half-brother of my ancestor, Eliza E. Kirkpatrick. They were both among the children of Jesse Jackson Kirkpatrick of Adams Co., IL. This family is in my mother’s ancestry.

The James Kirkpatrick family appears in the 1880 census of Little Rock, AR with James and Mary Kirkpatrick and Carrie Kirkpatrick, age 23. I remember finding this record before. This is the last date I have found them. I am not able to find Fred Willis Kirkpatrick, other than the one census records, using various forms of his name. So, it’s kind of a mystery as to what happened to them.
