1 NOTE Hertha still lived in Frankfort in 1968 and it was she whohelped gather the family history. She made a special trip toRoden by rail to visit relatives there and secure familyrecords, information and pictures. She visited Father Endres atthe Roden Chtholic church who also forwarded information toAmerican relatives in Danbury, IA. Most of these records arederived from the information she provided. She also met withAmerican relative, Frances Dimmig Dowd in 1970 in Frankfort,Germany.
