OMAHA - Funeral Mass for Esther I. Diimig, 81, of Omaha will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church.
Mrs. Diimig died Sept. 8 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.
She was born in Oakland. She attended two years of college. She was a secretary for an insurance company.
Mrs. Diimig was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence A. Diimig, on June 30, 1999. She was also preceded in death by son-in-law, Dr. Roger S. Sharpe; parents; sisters and brothers.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Ronald J. Diimig and Rose Carmichael of Omaha; daughter, Beverly Diimig Sharpe, of Livermore, Colo.; grandchildren, Sean P. Parker and wife, Michelle; Alex C. Diimig and Caitlyn C. Diimig; stepgrandchildren, Jennifer Scott and Rebecca Sharpe, Dr. Emily Venteicher; great-grandchildren, Jessica and Allison Scott, Franklin and Kathryn Venteicher, Jadon Parker; brother, Everett and wife, Ann Stroebele, of Oakland; sisters, Alta Pontow and Louise Leu, both of Council Bluffs; nieces and nephews.
Visitation begins Thursday at 3 p.m. with a wake service at 7 p.m. at Heafey-Heafey-Hoffman-Dworak & Cutler, West Center Chapel in Omaha. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Omaha Friday.
Memorials may be offered to Christ the King Catholic Church.
