From Connie Horstman - But thanks for the picture….yes, it is my mom and dad, and on the left is my mom’s sister, Jean, and her husband Delbert Steinbeck. My dad and Delbert were best of friends from childhood, both being best man at each other’s weddings. In my dad’s diary when Delbert died, he said, “I don’t know how I can live without Delbert.” Three months later, he died the same way, at home from a sudden heart attack. They were born 3 months apart, married 3 months apart, and died 3 months apart! They each at 7 kids.
